Access government incentives in Wollongong

Making your home sustainable with a solar and battery system and electrifying your home with an air conditioning and/or hot water heat pump system is now easier and more accessible.

All solar systems are eligible for up to $3,500 (based on a 10kW system) through Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme. Batteries are also eligible for a $4,950 rebate through the NSW Government supported Smart Distributed Batteries Project.

If you are looking to electrify your home by installing an Air Conditioning or Hot Water Heat Pump system, then there are additional incentives available through NSW Government Energy Savings Scheme.

Discounts and Rebates

The following programs offer point-of-sale discounts to facilitate the access to solar energy, battery storage, air conditioning and hot water in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven.

Small-Scale Technology Certificates (STCs)

Through the Federal Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme, STC’s are created after the installation of solar panels and hot water heat pumps.

Smart Distributed Batteries Project

Receive a $4,950 discount on a Tesla Powerwall 2 installation and contribute to grid stability with clean energy.

This program is supported by funding from the NSW Government under the Emerging Energy Program.

Through this project, SolarHub is building a 6MW Virtual Power Plant to support the electricity network in periods of high demand with a mesh system of residential batteries.

I had two Powerwall 2's installed to an existing ground mount system. I was undecided on going from one to two batteries but the pricing was very good, too good to not do it. Now the installation is a week old, the smoothing of the Solar production with the electricity usage of the property is now pretty much matched and we will be more than self sufficient for 8 months of the year. I am very pleased with Solarhub, the pricing process and the installation and the payment terms. My pricing was based on being part of a VPP, no experience of that yet, but my financial modelling suggests it will have little impact on my own use of my Powerwalls.

Recently had a 6.6kW Sungrow system installed with Trina panels. Would absolutely recommend Solarhub - from the outset they were fantastic, the sales consultant explained any component we asked about, the installer kept in touch with any changes and they scheduled my installation quicker than expected too.

The area they worked in / on was left absolutely spotless, the only reason we could tell they had been there was due to the panels on the roof! Looks absolutely wonderful, actually makes the place look so much better.

Would definitely recommend Solarhub, you can’t go wrong.

Excellent service - exceeded expectations - installation date was earlier than expected - installation time was shorter than expected - installation crew was larger than expected - team lead explained everything and answered all my dumb questions (call out to Dale - thanks mate - love your work) - installation of Sunpower solar panels with Enphase micro-inverters and Tesla battery and all other components was very neat and tidy - no exposed cables - excellent after installation support - minor change of software setting to prevent clipping of solar output to 5kW after installation was done remotely and resolved very quickly - have not imported a single watt of power from the grid since the installation - currently it's 10am on an autumn morning on the far South coast of NSW - clouds are thick and low and it's raining heavily - power is already coming from the sun - very happy 🙂

We have just had a 6.5Kw Enphase/Sunpower solar system installed, everything from the initial quote to the installation ran smoothly. Jesse was great and was able to answer all of my many questions.
The install team that came out were friendly and courteous, every thing was done with safety in mind.
Solar Hub really know there stuff and the job was completed within a day.
The system is running perfectly and the Enphase app is great to use.
