Sigenergy SigenStor WiFi Reconnect
Sigenergy SigenStor
(For Sigenergy inverter and battery system – including SigenStor 5-in-1 units)
1. Check your WiFi signal strength
Stand beside your SigenStor system and confirm your home WiFi network appears on your phone.
If your WiFi signal is weak or unavailable in this area, install a WiFi extender or use a wired Ethernet connection.
The SigenStor requires a stable 2.4 GHz WiFi connection — it cannot connect via 5 GHz.
2. Restart your Sigenergy inverter
Restarting resets the inverter and enables the built-in WiFi hotspot needed for reconnection.
Turn off the AC switch
- This switch is located inside the Sigenergy Gateway.
- Inside the Gateway, find the switch labelled “Inverter Supply” and flip it up to OFF to stop the AC power supply to the inverter.
Turn off the DC switch
- The DC switch is located inside the small cover on the left-hand side of the inverter.
- Remove this cover by lifting it upwards and away from the inverter.
- Inside, you’ll find the switch labelled DC — turn it to the OFF position.
Wait a few minutes to allow the inverter to shut down completely.
Then restart in the reverse order:
Turn the DC switch ON.
Turn the AC / Inverter Supply switch ON.
It may take several minutes for the inverter to fully power up.
Completing the restart will trigger the inverter’s WiFi hotspot, which you’ll use to reconnect it to your home network.
3. Open the mySigen app
On your smartphone, open the mySigen app.
If you don’t have it, download it from the App Store or Google Play.
4. Go to Settings
Tap Settings in the bottom right corner of the app.
5. Open Network Configuration
Under More Settings, tap Connectivity to open the connectivity menu.
Click “Next” to begin setup
Follow the prompts on-screen.
6. Scan the QR code on the inverter
The app will open your phone’s camera.
Scan the QR code located inside the inverter cover, next to the DC switch.
7. Choose to connect via hotspot
When prompted, select “No, I want to connect device hotspot”.
This option tells the app to connect directly to the inverter’s WiFi network.
7. Connect to the inverter hotspot
Tap Next, then Connect when prompted.
Your phone will automatically join the Sigenergy inverter’s hotspot network (usually named Sigen_xxxxxx).
If asked for a password, enter 12345678.
Once connected to the inverter, the app will scan for available WiFi networks.
Find your home WiFi network and tap to select it.
Type in your home WiFi password carefully — it’s case-sensitive.
Tap Join to connect.
8. Verify the connection
Once connected, a tick mark will appear next to your WiFi network name.
Tap Finished to close the setup screen.
The inverter will now connect to your home WiFi and resume sending live data to your mySigen app.
9. Troubleshooting tips
Double-check your WiFi password.
Ensure your router’s 2.4 GHz network is active (Sigenergy inverters don’t connect on 5 GHz).
If no hotspot appears, repeat Step 2 to restart and re-enable the WiFi network.
Persistent issues may require assistance from your installer or Sigenergy Technical Support.
